BSc Civil Engineering
With a 30-year career focused on utility contracting and asset ownership, Gareth has an excellent understanding of utility company networks, processes and procedures. Much of his experience centres on power industry project management roles concentrating on utility infrastructure, commercial negotiation, procurement processes, supply chains and project strategy and delivery. Out of an impressive portfolio, standout projects for Gareth include the delivery of power infrastructure works on 400kV lines in the UK and Hong Kong, 11kV distribution in Abu Dhabi and 132kV design and network connections in Australia, all in addition to a variety of greenfield and brownfield grid substations and installation schemes in the UK. Gareth also has strong skills in the procurement and legal side, boasting a successful record in buying equipment and the management of wayleaves and estates activity.
Prior to Noveus, Gareth worked for Balfour Beatty, EDF Energy and Spice plc. He is also an Associate to the National Skills Academy for Power, advising on competence for the power sector.
